Rie Mukai

About

Rie Mukai was born in Japan and started to learn Piano at the age of 4. She studied at the Kagoshima Music College with Prof. Kazumitsu Nakajima and teached at the Yamaha Music School in Kagoshima. In 2004 she came to Vienna and worked with Prof. Norman Shetler. She continued her education at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz with Prof. Johannes Marian and Prof. Till Alexander Körber and she received Bachelors and Masters degrees, both with distinction.

In 2007 she won the Piano competition of the Keyboard Instrument Institute at the Anton Bruckner Private University. In 2011, after completing her Masters degree in Linz, she moved to Leipzig (Germany), and, since 2015 she is living in Munich.

​

She has performend on numerous occasions in Austria, Poland, Germany, and Japan.
