Dmitrij Romanov
About
Dmitrij Romanov was born on 03.11.1982 in Moscow, Russia. He studied at the Gnessin Musical School in the class of Elena Efrussi and Ada Traub. He studied composition under the supervision of Vladimir Bagrov from 1991. In January 1997 Mr. Romanov moved to Munich, Germany. Since 1997 he studied piano under the supervision of Vadim Suchanov and Gernot Sieber. He also studied composition at the Richard Strauss Conservatory.

He continued his studies of piano under the supervision of Eliso Virsaladze (graduating the master class) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich and composition under prof. Dr.h.c. Dieter Acker, prof. Jan Müller-Wieland and Wilfried Hiller (master class) at the University of Music and Performing Arts.

He took master classes with Rudolph Kehrer, Menahem Pressler and more times with Klaus Schilde.
​
For his achievements Mr. Romanov has received the following awards:

2002 – Piano Music Fostering Prize of Concert Organization Ingolstadt;
​
2003 – Steinway Fostering Prize Munich;
​
2005 – 1st Prize of the Reinl Competition for composition in Vienna.
​
In 2003 Mr. Romanov participated in the Brahms-Festival in Heide in Holstein.
​
In 2004 and 2008 he took part in the Oleg-Kagan-Festival in Kreuth.
​
In 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 he was an accompanist and soloist at the Isny-Opera-Festival.
​
From 2009 till 2012 he played in Live Music Now.
​
In 2010 he took part at the festivals on the Islands Samos and Rhodos in Greece.
​
​From 2010 he plays in Pianists Club in Munich.
